Chiamaka Nnadozie, has clinched the prestigious title of the season’s best goalkeeper in the French Division 1 Feminine League, the Nigerian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Paris FC in the French Division 1 Féminine and the Nigeria women’s national football team.
Nnadozie received the award on monday night after beating out stiff competition from Olympic Lyon’s Christiane Endler and Katarzyna Kiedrzynek of Paris SG to claim the coveted prize.
Reacting to her feat on her X handle, the Nigerian international expressed her delight.
“Excited to have won the French D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Year,” she wrote.
“A big thanks to everyone who voted for me, and also a special appreciation to my coaches and teammates for all the support and encouragement. To the amazing family and Naija fans, una is too much. God did.”
The 23year old has been exceptional this season by her prowess in saving penalties, a feat that saw her stop seven spot-kicks throughout the league and Champions League, the highest tally in Europe for the season.
